Chef Rut is a restaurateur, author, food stylist and culinary consultant with an expertise in Thai food and culture. He
was born in Bangkok, Thailand where he learned the art of creating, cooking and mastering the essence of Thai
cuisine at an very young age. His talent and experience brought him to the United States where he opened his first
restaurant in Seattle, Washington. Soon after, he quickly became a well known figure within the culinary community of
the Pacific Northwest.
He has traveled the world several times over, retained by some of the world's most celebrated, internationally
renowned resorts, hotels, private jets and luxury trains.
He has also authored two cookbooks, Thailand the Beautiful (Harper Collins) and Thai Cuisine Lemon Grass
Cookbook (JOIE INC.) Chef Rut blends the fiery exotic tastes of Thailand with the freshest ingredients of the
northwest or the world in his cuisine. Currently, he is developing a line of sauces, curry pastes, dressings and other
products so that every home chef is able to duplicate the flavors of Thailand.
